Humans decide about humans. No AI system at Accrual Bank makes a final decision about whether to open, close, or freeze a customer account. Humans do.
Explainability when it matters. Any AI-assisted decision that affects a customer outcome must produce a reason the customer and a regulator can understand.
We do not train on customer data without explicit opt-in. Our models are trained on either our own synthetic data, vendor models fine-tuned on licensed data, or customer data where we have a specific and documented consent.
Measurement before scale. Every AI feature ships with the metrics it is trying to move. If it does not move them, it does not stay.
Our Technology and AI Committee meets quarterly. Our board reviews AI ROI at each meeting. Our platform team reviews every new AI-assisted feature before production. Our external audit touches AI governance in our annual audit.
